Trap Clamp Mod

Postby rwest » Thu Jul 23, 2009 5:13 pm

Hi,

I didn't like having to take the bolt completely out from underneath the table to move the clamps around, so I found myself leaving them in the way or in a less then ideal location. So I took a 5/16 by 2 1/2 inch long T-bolt and ground the sides down flush to the threads so it can slip into the table slot without disassembly and without having to feel around underneath for the bolt, in fact it only takes a few turns to remove it or secure it!

Here's a view of it in use under the table.

Making this modification makes it very easy to move the clamps around, just a turn of the knob and it is free of the table and just as easy to put back!
