Linear Bearing Adjustment Tip:

Postby rwest » Sat Dec 18, 2010 5:27 pm

Hello,

I found that when I mounted the bearing blocks and rails that I had a very slight bit of resistance when sliding the bearings on the rail. Keeping in mind that most parts will have some minor variances; I loosened the bolts that hold the rails on the front and the back:

Then I turned the rail a tiny bit and then slide the bearings back and forth on the rail and then turned the rail a little more, and so on, until they ran as smooth as possible.

Once I was happy with the slide, I tightened the bolts back down. I'm pretty sure that the tiny bit of resistance that I removed probably didn't make a ton of a difference, but it was simple to perform!
