Bench Hook for the JMP.

Postby WoodZealot » Thu May 13, 2010 11:25 am

Hey guys,

I recently made a bench hook jig for my JMP and thought I'd share the idea here. I lack the space for a dedicated stand so I had to figure out a better solution than just securing it to a flat work surface when needed. The jig is simple and is getting the job done so I'm happy.

I'm not here to promote my blog but there's more details there as well as a video of it in action. www.woodzealot.com

Oops, I now see that this should have been posted in the jigs/fixtures subforum. If a mod could relocate it I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Charles

Charles,

Nice work, I watched the video, and it is rock solid! I hope you'll post some more great ideas.

Thanks Rutager!

I'm a big fan of your work... love that maple burl box.

I'm looking forward to using my JMP and HP6-v2 as I finally have the time to start playing with them.

That's a really sweet trick! I'll have to pass this idea on to a friend who just ordered a JM-SW and has a new bench...

Thanks PFranks... A heavy bench is a great anchor for this saw. Hope it works out for them and anyone else that makes one!

This is a long time after your original post, but thanks very much! I'm on the waiting list for a JMPv2 (hope, hope, hope!), and I can see I prefer your mounting system to using the accessory stand. I don't have much floor space.

Appreciate it!
