Any reason to use tenonmake with hand tools only?

I want confirm something-- the Tenonmaker is useful only when you are using a table saw (whether a power tool or the JMP), and would not help in layout if you are a dedicated Neader?

(Dedicated Neader for two reasons: I have two children 7&9 who have full run of the basement workshop--except for the chisels-- and, as an amateur, have a powerful desire to keep all digits in place, regardless of how many mistakes I am going to make along the way.)

Hello and welcome,

I don't think it would be too difficult to make it work with your hand saw. You should be able to clamp a stop block to your bench with the saw in the first cut and the Tenonmaker between them, and then flip the Tenonmaker and place the saw against it and make your second cut.
