Hi All,
I just recieved my plane, yay and am wondering what the extra knob with what looks to be a magnet in it and the CSK screw are for?
Cheers

Hi,

The screw is there if you ever use one of the old soles that need to be screwed on rather than held by the dovetail slots; it holds the front knob on after you remove the dovetail piece from the front of the body.

The piece with the magnet goes between the blade and the cap screw, the indent on the piece receives the ball shaped part of the screw and the magnet holds it to the blade so it doesn't fall out when you're setting it up.

Best,
