Is this the right place for new profile suggestions for the HP6? If so, here's one from the archives, along with its description...

Triple boxed sole with two grooves and a fence. Used to create a pattern of multi-reeds - the first single reed would be cut with the fence in place, then the fence (or guide) would be removed from the plane. The second reed of the plane could then be placed in the already cut reed on the work and therefore act as a guide for further reeds, ad infinitum.

Hello Robert,

There are 4 different Muti-bead soles that should make the pattern that the reeding plane does and used with the fence, you can make as few or as many as needed by using or removing the fence- unless I'm not seeing what you're explaining.

Thanks for the kind response Rutager. You're right, I just was not looking at the existing BCT profile right, in terms of its ability to repeat the profile side by side.

Robert,

Never the less, the wooden plane maker came up with a very elegant solution to doing the job!

Check out http://www.bridgecitytools.com/discussi ... ?f=2&t=134 to see what Roger Savatteri was doing with his Multi-bead profile!

Best,
