Hello

I'm looking to make 18th century window sash with hand planes. Could any of the Bridge City planes be used?

Hi Julian,

I'm not well versed in sash windows, but I think you could make the rebate with either the rabbet sole or dado soles of the HP-6 and possibly use the ogee profile for the decorative trim http://www.bridgecitytools.com/default/ ... ile-2.html
Although the scale might be too large, check the section and it gives dimensions. It is a very beautiful profile.

Best,
