Product Description
Folding Dozuki
With a maximum cutting depth of 2.1", a blade length of approximately nine inches and an overall length of 24", our 28 teeth per inch folding dozuki is an ideal joint cutting back saw. The blade is an astonishing 0.33mm thick which is only 12 thousandths of an inch and creates a kerf of approximately .020” wide. Use it for your best work and when done, fold it in half—the handle becomes a blade guard, and if needed, will fit in you back pocket as a ready assistant.
Folding Kataba
A very popular furniture making saw, this folding Kataba has 20 teeth per inch dispersed over nine inches. Overall length is 24". Because this is not a back saw, blade thickness is 0.46mm or nineteen thousandths (0.010") of an inch. The Kataba saw is the tool of choice when you need cuts deeper than possible with a Dozuki. Perfect for tenons and larger dovetails as well as end trimming and general-purpose sawing needs.
Folding Ryoba
The Ryoba has crosscut teeth on one edge and rip teeth on the opposite edge, making perfect economic sense. Our Ryoba has a cutting length of 9" and is perfectly sized for furniture or cabinetmakers, and also works well for finish carpenters. The crosscut saw has 15 teeth per inch, the rip saw 8 teeth per inch. Blade thickness is a robust 0.49mm (0.0195"). Overall length is approximately 24". A great saw when you are not cutting joints or miters.
