JM-P Jointmaker Upgrade Kit

The JM-P Upgrade Kit is a pre-order item and is expected delivery in August 2010.

This is the upgrade kit for those who own the original JM-PJointmaker Pro.

The upgrade features a recirculating linear bearing system (the bearings follow a closed loop). They do not need adjustment (factory assembled) and they do not  require lubrication. The main advantage is they are easier to use (much less friction) at the expense of a bit more noise. The acetyl bearings are are much quieter than steel ball bearings and we are thrilled with the results as the tables are easily moved with one hand.

The kit include new rails, adapter plates, tables, and fences. They fasten perfectly to all existing JMP’s. Installation involves removing the screws that hold the original dovetail rails in place, lift out the old rail system and replace with the new—a very easy assembly.

We recommend this upgrade kit if you would like a lubrication free linear table system that is much more efficient than the original sliding dovetail design.
