These corner bead kits will create flawless moldings for a myriad of projects. They are sized by the radius of the bead and are very easy to use. Using a block or bench plane, you first create a chamfer to remove the bulk of the corner (the chamfer width is always the same as the radius of the corner bead). Next, use the HP-6 and the 45° fence to create the corner bead. The tool will cease to cut when the profile is complete. Typically a corner bead can be cut in five to six passes, more for larger profiles.
Use the the smaller corner bead set for smaller scale work and the larger for a bolder look or for larger scale work. Just by glancing around you, you’ll see the corner bead is one of the oldest and most popular profiles, and is truly timeless. From doll houses to clock cases, boxes to casework, the corner bead can dramatically improve the visual impact of your efforts.
