JS-3 Kataba Saw

Our exquisitely crafted professional saws are designed and produced in Japan exclusively for our Bridge City customers. The consistent golden color of the high grade Japanese steel is your assurance that the blade has been correctly tempered. The handles are hand wrapped with a braided cord and the ends are capped with brass ferrules.

A very popular furniture making saw, our Kataba has 20 teeth per inch dispersed over nine inches. Overall length is 21.5". Because this is not a back saw, blade thickness is 0.40mm or sixteen thousandths (0.016") of an inch. The Kataba saw is the tool of choice when you need cuts deeper than possible with a Dozuki. Perfect for tenons and larger dovetails as well as flush cutting and general-purpose sawing needs.
