The concept of the ANGLE MASTER PRO 6i is straightforward trigonometry. Your 6" caliper becomes an adjustable hypotenuse of a triangle with two identical adjacent legs. Reading inches (.001" increments), there are 6,000 possible angle settings over a 90-degree quadrant. This provides accuracy exceeding one minute (5,400 minutes = 90 degrees). Using metric divisions,
(.01 mm increments), there are 15,240 angle settings over a 90-degree quadrant. Either choice will provide accurate results previously attainable by much more expensive means, which typically are not portable.
